Three Assam Rifles jawans – Havildar Pranay Kalita, Rifleman YM Konyak and Rifleman Ratan Salim – were killed and five others injured in an ambush by suspected terrorists of local insurgent group People’s Liberation Army in Manipur. The martyrs were laid to rest with full military honor. Manipur CM N Biren Singh paid tribute to the martyred soldiers.
