A second petition has been filed by the BJP against the six BSP MLAs who had merged with the Congress last year. A day after the first plea was junked by the Rajasthan High Court, BJP MLA Madan Dilawar filed a new petition in the HC on Tuesday against the merger of the BSP MLAs into the Congress. The Rajasthan High Court had on Monday dismissed a plea of BJP MLA Madan Dilawar questioning the alleged inaction of the state assembly Speaker on his complaint challenging his decision to allow the merger of all six BSP MLAs with the Congress in 2019. The HC bench dismissed the plea as "having become infructuous" after the legislator's counsel Harish Salve told the court that his client was informed by the Speaker's secretariat that an order dismissing his complaint has been passed.
