India reported as many as 49,931 new cases of coronavirus in a th last 24 hours, which has pushed India’s tally to 14,35,453. The death toll due to Covid-19 in India has climbed to 32,771. On Sunday, India recorded a spike of 48,661 positive coronavirus cases and 705 fatalities. The total number of coronavirus cases stood at 13,85,522, including 4,67,882 active cases, 8,85,577 recovered on Sunday.

As the number of coronavirus cases is surging in India, many states have imposed partial or complete lockdown to contain the spread of the disease. Earlier, the West Bengal government had announced to go on a bi-weekly complete lockdown to decline the number of cases in the state.
