Regarding the breakdown of the bridge in Gopalganj, the Minister for Road Construction, Nand Kishore Yadav said that the access road of a small bridge of 18 m length has been cut towards Gopalganj, about two km from the seventy ghat bridge. This small bridge is located inside the dam of the Gandak River. The pressure of water in the Gandak river is more towards Gopalganj. Due to this, part of the bridge's access road has been cut.

गोपालगंज में पुल टूटने के मामले को लेकर सूबे के पथ निर्माण मंत्री नन्द किशोर यादव ने बताया कि सत्तर घाट पुल से लगभग दो किमी दूर गोपालगंज की ओर एक 18 मी लम्बाई के छोटे पुल का पहुँच पथ कट गया है। ये छोटा पुल गंडक नदी के बांध के अन्दर अवस्थित है। गंडक नदी में पानी का दबाव गोपालगंज की ओर ज़्यादा है। इस कारण पुल के पहुँच सड़क का हिस्सा कट गया है।
