Sachin Pilot's love life was like a film story, in which action, drama and emotion were all three. The story began when he went to London to pursue his MBA. After studying at Air Force Bal Bharti School in Delhi and then St. Stephen's College, Delhi University, Sachin went to Pennsylvania University for an MBA. Here he met Sara Abdullah, daughter of former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah and sister of Omar Abdullah.

सचिन पायलट की लव लाइफ किसी फिल्मी कहानी की तरह रही, जिसमें एक्शन, ड्रामा और इमोशन तीनों थे. इस कहानी की शुरुआत तब हुई जब वह MBA की पढ़ाई के लिए लंदन गए. दिल्ली के एयरफोर्स बाल भारती स्कूल और फिर दिल्ली यूनिवर्सिटी के सेंट स्टीफंस कॉलेज से पढ़ाई करने के बाद सचिन MBA के लिए पेंसिल्वेनिया यूनिवर्सिटी चले गए. यहां उनकी मुलाकात जम्मू-कश्मीर के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री फारुख अब्दुल्ला की बेटी और उमर अब्दुल्ला की बहन सारा अब्दुल्ला से हुई.
