False territorial claims from Japan once again on South Korea's easternmost islets of Dokdo.
Seoul's ministries of foreign affairs and national defense both summoned Japanese envoys to lodge a formal complaint... and to say repeating such claims could FURTHER DAMAGE bilateral relations.

South Korea is protesting Japan's latest false claims that South Korea's easternmost islands of Dokdo are Japanese territory.
The claim was made on Tuesday in Tokyo's new defense white paper.
In response, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement saying that Japan must realize repeating such a preposterous argument will not help their bilateral relationship.
"Every time Japan has provoked us in regards to Dokdo, we have demanded them to withdraw their claim so that it doesn't affect our sovereignty or bilateral relationship."
Senior Japanese diplomat, Hirohisa Soma, was summoned to Seoul's Foreign Ministry Tuesday morning and told that Japan needs to rectify the wrongful claims immediately.
Meanwhile, the Defense Ministry called in a Japanese defense attache, Matsumoto Takashi, to not only lodge a complaint over Tokyo's Dokdo claims, but also refute accusations that a South Korean vessel had conducted a radar inspection on a Japanese aircraft.
Regarding Seoul's decision not to renew the General Security Military Information Agreement, South Korea's defence ministry said the decision was made to preemptively resolve pending issues between the two countries. Japan had claimed it was Seoul's 'strategic move' and came at a time when security in east Asia could not be guaranteed.
Tokyo hinted at the continued rocky relationship with Seoul after removing the phrase "promoting defense cooperation with South Korea" from this year's white paper.
Regarding North Korea, Japan, for the first time ever, said the regime is capable of a nuclear attack on Japan with its miniaturized nuclear warheads.
And added... such a risk is critical to Japan and an urgent threat to the safety and peace of the global community.
