Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said immediate action was needed to be taken even before the Parliament sitting to address the Covid-19 pandemic.

He said the people had been waiting for the government to announce its economic stimulus packages to help them cushion the impact of the epidemic.

This was in response to a question posed by Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim that lawmakers were not allowed to debate the billions of ringgit of packages that may put a strain on the nation's finance.
