New Zealand have also offered to host the IPL in case the billion dollar league can’t be held in India due to rising cases of coronavirus. The postponement announcement of the T20 World Cup, to be held in October-November in Australia, is imminent, creating a window for the IPL. There is only a single active case of coronavirus in the country as several social distancing norms have eased in the land Down Under. The BCCI has already zeroed in on the end September-early November window for the IPL.

क्रिकेट अब फिर से लौटने की तैयारी में है. इंग्लैंड और विंडीज के बीच सीरीज शुरू होने जा रही है. आठ जुलाई से कोरोना काल में पहली बार क्रिकेट शुरू हो रहा है. इसके बाद अगले महीने भी इंग्लैंड और पाकिस्तान की टीम आपस में सीरीज खेलेगी. इधर, भारत में अब आईपीएल कराने के लिए रास्ता साफ़ होते दिख रहा है. बीसीसीआई चाह रही है कि कोशिश रहेगी कि आईपीएल अपने ही देश में हो. और न तो विकल्प ढूंढा जाएगा. या तो दुबई या तो और श्रीलंका या फिर न्यूजीलैंड. न्यूजीलैंड ने आईपीएल की मेजबानी की पेशकश की है. बीसीसीआई पहले ही सितंबर के आखिर से नवंबर के बीच आईपीएल कराने की संभावना पर विचार कर रहा है.
