Mexican hospitals struggle to attract fearful blood donors amid pandemic

At the Juarez hospital in Mexico City, doctors used to perform at least 50 blood transfusions a day, but since the arrival of the novel coronavirus, the hospital's blood banks stand nearly empty as donors, fearful of contracting COVID-19, stay away.
