August 13 is the last Tuesday of the month of Sawan. Mangala Gauri Vrat is celebrated on every Tuesday falling in the month of Shravan. The people who observe this fast worship Goddess Parvati. Women especially perform this fast for the long life and happy life of their husband and children.

13 अगस्त को सावन माह का आखिरी मंगलवार है। श्रावण मास में पड़ने वाले हर मंगलवार के दिन ‘मंगला गौरी व्रत’ मनाया जाता है। इस व्रत को रखने वाले जातक माता पार्वती की पूजा करते हैं। अपने पति व संतान की लंबी उम्र और सुखी जीवन की कामना के लिए महिलाएं खासतौर पर इस व्रत को करती हैं।
