Local fishermen rescued 94 Rohingya refugees off the coast of Aceh province, the northwest tip of Indonesia’s Sumatra Island on June 25, 2020. A boat carrying 49 women, 30 children and 15 men was found drifting at sea a day earlier. Indonesian police provided food and water to the hungry and dehydrated refugees, but the group had to remain on the vessel until the local government decided whether to accept them.
