England have announced a 24-member women squad that will make a comeback to training on June 22 as the national team looks to return to competitive action before the end of the season. Reflecting on the same, England Women's Cricket Director Jonathan Finch said that it is quite exciting for the players to be able to return to group as they remain hopeful of playing cricket this summer. Earlier, England men's team named eight uncapped players in the list of 30 cricketers who will train behind closed doors on June 23.

कोरोना काल में एक इंग्लैंड ही ऐसी टीम है, जो क्रिकेट खेलने के लिए आगे बढ़ रही है. इंग्लैंड क्रिकेट बोर्ड ने पहले वेस्टइंडीज और पाकिस्तान को सीरीज खेलने के लिए न्यौता दिया. अब अपनी महिला टीम को इंग्लैंड क्रिकेट बोर्ड ने मैदान पर उतारने का फैसला किया है. 22 जून से इंग्लैंड क्रिकेट टीम को महिला खिलाड़ी ट्रेनिंग के लिए लौटेंगी. साथ ही बोर्ड फिलहाल अलग-अलग देशों के क्रिकेट बोर्ड से बात कर रहा है ताकि सीरीज संभव हो. भारत और दक्षिण अफ्रीका के खिलाफ इस साल त्रिकोणीय सीरीज की उम्मीद में ईसीबी ने घोषणा की कि उसकी महिला टीम की 24 खिलाड़ी 22 जून से निजी अभ्यास पर लौटेंगी. गौरतलब है कि भारतीय महिला टीम को तीन वनडे और इतने ही टी20 अंतरराष्ट्रीय मैच खेलने के लिए इंग्लैंड के दौरे पर जाना था.
