Barisan Nasional on Thursday (June 18) named the chairman of the Kuantan Felda Youth Council, Mohd Sharim Md Zain, as its candidate to contest in the Chini state assembly by-election.

Meawhile, deputy chief of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia’s Pekan division, Tengku Datuk Zainul Hisham Tengku Hussin, also announced that he would be contesting as an independent candidate.
