북한신문 "향후 조치, 상상 뛰어넘을 것"... 합참 "현재까지 직접활동 확인안돼"

Two days since North Korea blew up the inter-Korean Liaison Office... the regime has warned it would carry out stronger measures... but remain tight-lipped on criticisms from South Korea's presidential office the day before.
While confirming no unusual activity along the border, South Korea's military warns any provocation from the North will be met with starts us off.
North Korea's official state newspaper, the Rodong Sinmun reported Thursday that the inter-Korean liaison office explosion is "just the beginning" and that the "explosive sound of justice will continue beyond imagination."
The paper said military patience has run out... and that the military is mulling over a detailed action plan that is to be announced and should be taken seriously.
Citing military sources, multiple South Korean media outlets reported that North Korea has dispatched soldiers to vacated observation posts inside the Demilitarized Zone.
However, South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff says no unusual activity has been detected.
"We're closely monitoring the activities mentioned by the North's General Staff of the Korean People's Army... but as of yet there have been no incidents to give additional explanations for."
In response, Seoul reaffirmed its position that inter-Korean agreements must be abided by... but that it'll respond firmly to provocative military action.
In a weekly National Security Council meeting at the Blue House, top officials inspected the South Korean military's defense posture and its monitoring of the North.
It stated, efforts will continue to be made to prevent tensions rising further on the peninsula.
"The South Korean military takes the current situation gravely. We will maintain a firm defense readiness posture...while managing the situation in a stable manner to prevent it from escalating. But North Korea will pay heavily if it goes ahead with military provocation... the South Korean military will not hesitate to respond potently."
North Korea warned it'll redeploy troops and resume exercises along the inter-Korean border... moves that would nullify the inter-Korean Comprehensive Military Agreement which was forged in 2018 in a bid to reduce tensions.
