Researchers are currently conducting more studies on COVID-19 and sewage to better understand how it might play a role in the virus’s spread.
According to HuffPost, scientists conducted simulations showing that flushing can propel droplets as high as three feet into the air.
A simple fix? Close the lid. Putting the toilet lid down before flushing can basically prevent virus transmission.
And of course, follow up with immediate and vigorous hand washing.
