France will be lifting some coronavirus pandemic restrictions sooner than previously thought.
According to Business Insider, all of mainland France, including Paris, will become a 'green zone' on Monday.
That means officials believe the nation has a low number of active COVID-19 cases and can safely start reopening businesses.
Paris and the city's surrounding region were expected to remain in the 'orange zone,' which required more restrictions, until June 22nd.
French President Emanuel Macron said Sunday that in Paris, restaurants and bars can reopen beginning Monday. Schools will resume the following Monday.
