BTS 등 K팝 팬들의 강력한 힘 "인종차별 NO!"

K-Pop fans around the world are no longer posting on social media about music.
They're posting about social issues,... giving their full support to the protests in the U.S. to drown out racists.
Our Kim Jae-hee has this report.
K-pop fans are speaking out on the death of George Floyd,... using hashtags and posting fancams of their idols.
They're using the hashtag 'Black Lives Matter'... and retweeting K-pop artists' statements supporting the movement.
When the police in Dallas used an app... to track down violent protesters and looters... fans bombarded the app with videos of their idols... rendering it temporarily unusable... out of concern the app might be used to arrest peaceful protesters.
And when the boyband BTS donated a million dollars in support of the Black Lives Matter movement,... their fans, the so-called BTS "ARMY," launched a campaign and raised even more, using the hashtag "Match A Million."
BTS tweeted last Thursday that they oppose racial discrimination and condemn violence. They said people have the right to be respected, and they will stand together.
An expert says these acts by K-pop artists have strengthened their fans support for the movement.
"With BTS sharing this message, even if it's something we take for granted, such as opposing racial discrimination, K-pop fans can feel encouraged, and feel like they're being supported. I think that's enough to get them fully involved."
K-pop fans all over the world have now become a huge driving force behind the global call for justice.
