Senior minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the nation's borders will remain closed to foreigners but will give leeway to Malaysians seeking to travel abroad to sit for their examinations and certain specific cases.

He said they will be allowed to travel abroad subject to approval from the Immigration Department.
