Newser reports a Pennsylvania woman has been arrested for keeping her deceased grandmother in a basement freezer for 12 years.
Cynthia Black, age 61, was arrested on Wednesday.
Black says she kept the corpse of her grandmother, Glenora Delahay, around in order to collect her Social Security checks.
Black told investigators it would hurt her family financially to lose the money.
Now out on an unsecured $50,000 bail, Black has been charged with abuse of a corpse, receiving stolen property, and unlawful taking.
