Even after the Centre issued a ‘clarification’ stating that only ‘distressed’ and ‘stranded’ migrant workers will be allowed to travel, the issue of their movement continued to affect coordination among the states and resulted in a lot of confusion. States, which were found to be work at cross-purposes, remained unsure in the implementation of the Centre’s directives. Experts said that the teething issues in coordination between the states could have been avoided had the Centre planned the exercise in advance.

बांद्रा में मंगलवार को एक बार फिर से हजारों के तादाद में प्रवासी मजदूर रेलवे स्टेशन पर पहुंच गए और घर जाने के लिए ट्रेन चलाने की मांग करने लगे. मजदूरों का कहना था कि उन्हें कॉल करके वहां बुलाया गया था. इससे पहले भी बांद्रा में प्रवासी मजदूरों की भीड़ वहां जमा हुई थी. इसके अलावे दिल्ली-यूपी बॉर्डर पर भी लगातार मजदूरों के भीड़ जमा होने की खबर आम है. दो दिन पहले सोमवार गाजियाबाद को रामलीला मैदान में हजारों मजदूर जमा हो गए थे. वहीं कर्नाटक के मंगलौर में भी कुछ ऐसा ही दृष्य सामने आया था. इन तमाम घटनाओं में एक बात जो सबसे कॉमन थी वो था सोशल डिस्टेंसिंग की धज्जियां उड़ना. वही सोशल डिस्टेंसिंग जिसके लिए देश में पिछले दो महीने से लॉकडाउन है.
