Hours after BJP national secretary H Raja threatened to pull down statue of social reformer EVR Ramasamy, popularly known as Periyar, in a similar fashion as Russian communist revolutionary Vladmir Lenin’s statues were razed in Tripura, two men vandalised a Pariyar statue at a municipal corporation officer in Tamil Nadu’s Vellore on Tuesday evening.
