Despite the heat and humidity, people from across the city joined to catch the last glimpse of India’s former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. People carried posters of the former prime minister with quotes from the poems he wrote. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP chief Amit Shah, chief ministers of several states including Vijay Rupani, Shivraj Chouhan, Yogi Adityanath and Devendra Fadnavis walked behind the carriage carrying the mortal remains of Vajpayee.
