Speaking after, Watcharawut said the parents had started yelling at him so after checking the girl was fine, he rode away to avoid a confrontation.

He said: ''I couldn't sleep all of that night because I was worried about what had happened to the girl and if she was hurt.''

The parents posted on social media claiming that Watcharawut had knocked over their daughter then sped away. The demanded compensation for medical bills.

However, they backtracked when faced with the security camera evidence.

Watcharawut added: ''I was only travelling between 20 and 30 kmph when a child ran out in front of my bike. It was so sudden, but I am experienced so managed to avoid hitting her. She fell to the ground and I checked she was OK.

''The parents were emotional and angry, which I can understand because of their love for their child. But I checked she was OK then left because I was worried they would become violent.

''I'm so relieved that there are cameras that recorded what happened.''

The girl's parents met with the rider and staff at the building where the cameras were located and the group all accepted to leave the incident and move on.
