A tropical storm battered a market in northern Thailand yesterday (May 7th) as temperatures in parts of the country reached 40 degrees.
Footage shows the food stands and their awnings being blown over as gusts and heavy rain swept through Chaiyaphum province.
Vendors and shoppers had to run for cover when the sudden downpour stuck the area. It came on the same day that scorching temperatures at the start of the summer season reached 40 degrees in some parts of the country.
Thailand has seen tropical storms and flash floods sweeping the country over the last few weeks as temperatures increase.
