The artificial waterway of the Muhuri Irrigation Project, surrounded by dams on all four sides, is a picturesque place near the mouth of the Bay of Bengal. The place has the only duck breeding research center in the country, which provides eggs and ducks. There is also a center for handmade sheep wool carpets nearby. Another attraction is the Bangladesh Rice Research Institute.
