In an exclusive interview with Oneindia Hindi, Indian Boxer Pooja Rani shared her journey from bhiwani to Tokyo Olympic. Pooja Rani revealed that her father made his disapproval about her taking up boxing quite clear from the very start. Blessed with good height and a broad frame, the pugilist was always destined to shine inside the ring. However, her first tryst with boxing came by chance. It was only after Pooja Rani was selected and won silver in an inter-college competition during her college days that her interest in boxing was sparked.

वनइंडिया हिंदी से ख़ास बातचीत में पूजा रानी ने अपनी प्रोफेशनल और पर्सनल जिंदगी से जुड़े कई बड़े राज खोले। पूजा रानी ने बताया कि उनके लिए भिवानी से ओलंपिक तक का सफर आसान नहीं था. शुरुआती समय में उनके पिताजी नहीं चाहते थे कि पूजा रानी बॉक्सर बने. पिता जी के अनुसार उन्हें डर था कि कहीं पूजा को चोट न लग जाए. लेकिन, किसी तरह पूजा ने अपने कोच संजय कुमार की मदद से पिता जी को मनाने में कामयाब रही. पहली बार रिंग में उतरते ही पूजा ने सिल्वर मेडल जीता था. और इसके बाद उनके पिता जी ने उन्हें एक बाइक भी गिफ्ट में दी थी.
