KBO 관중없이 개막... ESPN과 중계 계약

Pro baseball is back in on South Korea.
The KBO starts its season today with five games across the country, about a month later later than usual.
The coronavirus outbreak seems to be under control, but as a precaution, the games won't have any spectators in the stands for now.
Also this season, fans in the U.S., where sports are still called off, can catch some of the games live on ESPN, which has struck a deal with the KBO.
Meanwhile, the players in the KBO will go through strict medical screening before the games, and there are rules in place to protect everyone involved... because a single case in the league could bring things to a halt again.
The KBO says it plans to hold all 144 games of the season by November, as usual, by canceling the all-star weekend and shortening the post season.
