When it comes to Deadlifts and the Trap or Hex Bar, I guess its better than nothing buuuut, NOT MUCH!! Wanted to see what Stiff Legged Deadlifts would be like on a Trap Bar for the Hamstrings. I picked up from and returned to the ground with a round back yet used a flat back on the reps. From beginning to end of each set, I DO NOT BEND my legs at all!!
These felt OK but, the bar definitely cheats you out of some tension. IF I do them again, I would DEFINITELY put plates under the feet to get more tension over a greater ROM. If its a choice between this bar and a regular barbell, go with the regular barbell....TRUST ME!! God Bless!!
