Speaking with News Nation over Congress manifesto, JD-U leader KC Tyagi said that the grand old party is saying to meet old promises. “In 1971, Indira Gandhi promised to eliminate the poverty but during 50 to 60 years Congress rule, it increased more. The gap between poor and rich widened, immigration increased and farmers suffered,” Tyagi said. “There should be a legal provision that if a party fails to meet promises made in the manifesto, an action should be taken against it,” he added.
