As we’ve passed one month without football in England, clubs in League 1 and League 2 have warned the EFL that they must conduct drastic actions in order for them not to go bankrupt and end in administration over the next month or so.

They have suggested that their seasons get cancelled, as the EFL’s plans to play behind closed doors would mean they would still miss the large revenue of gate receipts due to their fans absence.

The Premier League is also in jeopardy, as 57 top flight footballers are out of contract on June the 30th. This includes Tottenham star Jan Vertonghen, as well as Chelsea’s Willian & Olivier Giroud and Man City’s David Silva. With the future uncertain, a Premier League insider said “we are in danger of entering chaos territory”, let’s hope the fallout isn’t as catastrophic as some experts predict.
