Despite heavy police presence, a group of ABVP activists—who were waiting for the professor to come out of the old administration block of the varsity—heckled Prof Mohammad Tajuddin on Thursday evening.

Calling the professor a “collaborator” and “anti-national”, the angry demonstrators were heard shouting slogans, demanding that “such traitors must be shot dead.”
