A 50-year-old doctor residing in the Deoli neighbourhood of South Delhi took the drastic step of ending his life amidst the nationwide lockdown imposed due to the Wuhan Coronavirus outbreak. A suicide note retrieved from the deceased’s house accused AAP MLA Prakash Jarwal and his aide Kapil Nagar for the harassment which provoked the doctor to take such a radical decision of committing suicide. The doctor’s body was found hanging from the ceiling of his house.

मृतक की पहचान डॉ. राजेन्द्र सिंह के रूप में हुई है और वो दुर्गा विहार में अपना क्लिनिक चलाते हैं। राजेंद्र ने कई सालों से दिल्ली जलबोर्ड में कॉन्ट्रेक्ट पर कई टैंकर लगा रखे थे जिसे स्थानीय विधायक ने हटवा दिया था। राजेंद्र सिंह का आरोप है कि टैंकर लगाने के लिए उनसे मोटी रकम मांगी जा रही थी। उन्होंने ये रकम नहीं दी जिसके कारण दिल्ली जल बोर्ड से उसके टैंकरों को हटवा दिया गया। आरोप है कि आरोपियों ने उनका कुछ लाखों का बिल भी रुकवा दिया था, जिससे हताश परेशान डॉक्टर ने खुदकुशी की।
