Today, we remember Prithviraj Kapoor, the pioneer of Indian theatre on his 46th death anniversary. He started his acting career in a theatre group in Peshawar. He came to Mumbai in 1928 and joined Imperial Theatre. He laid the foundation of Prithvi Theatre in 1944. Prithviraj Kapoor died on May 29, 1971.
