Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said that the election losses suffered by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in five states through 2018 cannot be taken as a pattern of what will happen in the 2019 Parliament elections. "15 years of anti-incumbency was being fought by our people... In Haryana local polls we won all, Tripura there was 90-95 percent victory, Jammu Kashmir 74 percent polling took place and in many of those the BJP won. Winning or losing is not the only yardstick," he said.
