Photographer Tommy Andersson captured these scenes in northern Sweden as a spring snowstorm with winds gusting over 60 mph blew in from the arctic.

Even though Tommy was using a 10 kg tripod the wind gusts made it impossible to steady the camera as the howling winds and drifting snow blew all around on April 13 in the forest of Övre Oldsjön.

Tommy said: "The road is up to a big dam, located just under the tree line so it´s somewhere like 700m above sea level. The total amount of snow that area had this winter is 1.5-2m.

"I had to help one car on the way up who got stuck and got stuck myself twice while helping him. I always carry extra shovels, extra warm clothes, first aid kits, food and things like that in the car. You don´t meet so many people in these areas, so you have to be prepared!"
