NBC News reports that President Barack Obama will formally former Vice President Joe Biden in the 2020 election on Tuesday.
According to Business Insider, Biden became the presumptive Democratic nominee last week after Bernie Sanders dropped out of the 2020 race.
Obama held off on endorsing a Democratic candidate when the primaries were more competitive.
However, several aides told Politico Obama worked behind the scenes to help Biden's campaign to clinch more endorsements.
