Turnout on Saturday morning was 16-point-46 percent as of 11:30 AM, but the voting rate jumped up to as of 5:50 PM local time, which is the highest percentage ever recorded in early voting history.
The final number of the early voting turnout will be announced today after 6 PM on the National Election Commission's website.
Compared to the previous election, the main difference in early voting this year was the strict disinfecting process for voters.
The National Election Commission has been disinfecting all polling stations nationwide.
