The former unified light-welterweight world champion doesn't accept the official version of events that coronavirus originated at a wet market in Wuhan in China
Khan spoke to his 1.3m followers on his Instagram story, discussing his conspiracy theory of how coronavirus is man-made and is serving as a distraction.

"I don't think it's coming from China. That's a lie, really," the 33-year-old said.

"People are saying that they were eating bats and snakes and the poison mixed. What b*lls**t is that? Do you believe that? I don't.
"Coronavirus this, coronavirus that - you're probably getting bored of it, as I am. Do you not think it's anything to do with that 5G in these towers that are going up?
It's a man-made thing. It's been put there for a reason - while they test 5G. It might be for population control - get rid of a lot of us, especially when they say that it harms old people. Look at these towers at nighttime that have been put up, then telling people not to go out.
"I bet they're going to put one of those towers outside my house," predicted Khan. "Who is behind all this? I hope it doesn't start a war or anything."
Other online conspiracy theories suggest a link between the illness and the new mobile phone technology.

But there is no biological mechanism by which 5G - which uses radio waves - could have any bearing on this illness.

Dr Brendan Wren at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine described it as 'both a physical and biological impossibility'.
Khan admitted he's expecting some people to think conclude that he's 'taken one too many punches to the head' but the boxer has actually been helping out in these tough times.

He generously offered the option for the NHS to use a facility he had built to host weddings in Bolton, saying, "I am prepared to give my 60,000 square foot, four-storey building which is due to be a wedding hall and retail outlet to help people affected by the coronavirus."
