In view of the situation arising from the corona virus, the budget session of Rajya Sabha was adjourned sine die on Monday. According to the predetermined schedule, the budget session was to last until April 3. Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu discussed the situation arising due to the Corona crisis across India and the world before adjourning the meeting indefinitely. He appreciated the contribution of various personnel engaged in emergency services of the country, including medical workers, in dealing with this emergency.

कोरोना वायरस से उत्पन्न हालात को देखते हुये राज्यसभा के बजट सत्र को सोमवार को अनिश्चितकाल के लिए स्थगित कर दिया गया. पूर्व निर्धारित कार्यक्रम के मुताबिक बजट सत्र तीन अप्रैल तक चलना था. सभापति एम वेंकैया नायडू ने बैठक को अनिश्चितकाल के लिए स्थगित करने से पहले भारत सहित विश्व भर में कोरोना संकट के कारण उत्पन्न हुए हालात की चर्चा की. उन्होंने इस आपात स्थिति से निबटने में चिकित्साकर्मियों सहित देश की आपात सेवाओं में लगे विभिन्न कर्मियों के योगदान की सराहना की.
