New asteroid to fly by Earth may be potential threat but no need to worry -- Chinese astronomers

Chinese astronomers recently discovered a new asteroid, designated 2020DM4 (green in the diagram), as it approaches Earth (blue). The closest distance between them would be 7.35 million kilometers. It will fly by Earth in early May. Scientists say that the asteroid may be a potential threat but Chinese astronomers say there is no need for worry.
