Former Guna MP Jyotiraditya Scindia announced his resignation from the Congress party on Tuesday, the birth anniversary of his father Madhavrao Scindia. In a letter dated March 9, he told Congress interim chief Sonia Gandhi that his path had been "drawing itself out over the last year". The Congress soon expelled him for anti-party activities. But there was more bad news for Madhya Pradesh's ruling party, now on extremely shaky ground: as many as 20 government MLAs have sent their resignation to the Speaker. Sources say Jyotiraditya Scindia will join the BJP later today.
