Shocking footage from central India showed when a two-storey building completely collapsed next to a busy street in a matter of seconds.
The incident took place at Birgaon town in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, on February 21 at 12:30pm.
Footage from the street shows the two-storey building collapsing onto a small shop. The cave-in narrowly missed several pedestrians walking across the busy road.
Construction work being carried out in an adjacent household is believed to have contributed to the collapse.
According to local reports, a 10-foot trench dug for the construction of the basement of the neighbouring house may have caused the collapse.
The residents of the building were evacuated before the building could collapse after fractures were spotted within the walls of the structure. An alert was sounded just before the incident.
Luckily, no casualties were reported.
