After two decades of speculation, Geological Survey of India and Uttar Pradesh Directorate of Geology and Mining have discovered two goldmines having around 3,350 tonne gold ore in the Naxalite-infested Sonbhadra district. उत्तर प्रदेश में सोना का एक बड़ा भंडार मिला है. सोनभद्र की पहाड़ियों में 3 हजार टन सोने का भंडार मिला है. इसकी पुष्ट हो चुकी है और अब नीलामी की प्रकिया के लिए कार्यवाही शुरू कर दी गई है. जल्द ही सोने के ब्लॉकों की नीलामी कर दी जाएगी. सरकार की ओर से 7 सदस्यीय टीम गठित कर दी गई.
