Amid the ongoing protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act, the Congress government of Madhya Pradesh has made a big announcement. The Kamal Nath government has refused to implement the National Population Register (NPR) in the state. The state government has said that after the release of the NPR notification, the kind of skepticism that has been made, it has been decided that NPR is not applicable in the state.

नागरिकता संशोधन कानून के खिलाफ देशभर में जारी विरोध प्रदर्शन के बीच मध्य प्रदेश की कांग्रेस सरकार ने बड़ा ऐलान किया है. कमलनाथ सरकार ने राज्य में राष्ट्रीय जनसंख्या रजिस्टर यानी NPR को लागू करने से इनकार किया है.राज्य सरकार ने कहा है कि एनपीआर की अधिसूचना जारी होने के बाद जिस तरह का संशय बना है, उसे लेकर तय किया गया है कि प्रदेश में एनपीआर लागू नहीं होगा.
