On 18th & 19th January 2020, a slum area in Bangalore was razed and hundreds of huts were demolished after BJP MLA from Karnataka (Aravind Limbavali) tweeted saying authorities should take action as the area was occupied by illegal Bangladeshi immigrants.
After the slums where daily wage earners and other labourers lived were destroyed, it was found that all the poor people living there were actually Indians.
Amit Shah has been dehumanising illegal immigrants (specifically muslims) by calling them Termites (deemak) and such other names and threatening to throw them out of the country. Govt of India has made no pact with Bangladesh regarding deporting of these illegal immigrants though. On the other hand, poor Indians are being targetted in the name of Bangladeshis.

This further strengthens doubts over BJP's intentions in implementing NRC-CAA.
