Tanya Shergill, an officer of the Army's Signal Corps Command, will lead a men contingent of 147 men on Rajpath on the occasion of Republic Day. She will be the first woman in the army to be the parade adjutant (military officer).

थलसेना की सिग्नल कोर कमांड की अधिकारी तान्या शेरगिल राजपथ पर गणतंत्र दिवस के मौके पर 147 जवानों वाले पुरुष कंटीजेंट का नेतृत्व करेंगी। वो सेना की पहली महिला होगी जो परेड एडजुटेंट (सैन्‍य अधिकारी) होंगी।
