In the Delhi Assembly elections, JDU's alliance with the BJP has gone to senior party leader Pawan Verma, and has written a letter to the party president Nitish Kumar regarding this decision. In which he has given his opinion on the atmosphere of anger across the country about BJP, citizenship law and NRC. Actually Pawan Verma has sought clarification from Nitish Kumar on the basis of party ideology.

दिल्ली विधानसभा चुनाव में JDU का बीजेपी के साथ गठबंधन पार्टी के वरिष्ठ नेता पवन वर्मा को नागवार गुजरा है और उन्होंने इस फैसले को लेकर पार्टी के अध्यक्ष नीतीश कुमार को चिट्ठी लिखी है. जिसमें उन्होंने बीजेपी, नागरिकता कानून और एनआरसी को लेकर देश भर में गुस्से के माहौल पर अपनी राय रखी है. दरअसल पवन वर्मा ने पार्टी के विचारधारा के आधार पर नीतीश कुमार से सफाई मांगी है.
