This is the remarkable moment scores of baby praying mantises hatched in Thailand.

Nong Khanoksak was wandering around his backyard when he saw the insects on a leaf in Nonthaburi, Thailand, on October 27.

He took a closer look and filmed the creatures taking their first steps in the outside world.

Nong said: "This was amazing seeing so many little mantises come into the world.''
