विरोध के बीच भले ही केंद्र की मोदी सरकार ने नागरिकता संसोधन कानून को 10 जनवरी से देश में लागू करने के लिए नोटिफिकेशन जारी कर दिया है. लेकिन सरकार के लिए इसको देश में लागू कराना आसान नहीं दिख रहा है. कांग्रेस शासित राज्यों में सीएए और राष्ट्रीय नागरिकता पंजीकरण के खिलाफ विधानसभा में प्रस्ताव पारित किए जाने की तैयारी है। सीएए के खिलाफ केरल विधानसभा में प्रस्ताव पारित होने के बाद अब कांग्रेस शासित राज्यों में भी इसकी तैयारी है। कांग्रेस शासित प्रदेशों की सरकारें भी अपने राज्यों की विधानसभा में सीएए के खिलाफ प्रस्ताव पास कर केंद्र सरकार को भेजेंगी।
