In such a situation, BJP MLA Vikram Saini from Khatauli assembly seat of Uttar Pradesh has made an absurd statement supporting the citizenship law.

नागरिकता संशोधन कानून के खिलाफ लोगों का गुस्सा शांत होने का नाम नहीं ले रहा है. नागरिकता के इस नए कानून को लेकर देश के अलग-अलग हिस्सों में विरोध प्रदर्शन जारी है.. ऐसे में उत्तर प्रदेश की खतौली विधानसभा सीट से बीजेपी विधायक विक्रम सैनी ने नागरिकता कानून का समर्थन करते हुए बेतुका बयान दिया है.
